The present invention relates to a wheel lift and a lift for vehicles with such a wheel lift according to the preamble of the independent claims.
Background of the invention When changing wheels, the old wheel must be lifted down and a new wheel lifted up in a low position for assembly and rotated to the position where the bolt tail fits. One of the earliest patents related to such a wheel lift is US2217898. The device is wheeled so that it can be rolled in position and in this way place the wheel to be mounted on the vehicle next to the axle the wheel is to be mounted on.
Workshop floors are very evenly level and such a wheeled device is not special! Aft to roll to the desired position, said wheel lift that makes it easier to lift and place the wheel in low yore on quarter.
An object of the invention is to provide a wheel lift and a lift for vehicles with such a wheel lift which facilitates placement of the wheel in position.
These and other purposes are achieved by a wheel lift and a vehicle lift with such a wheel lift according to the features of the independent claims.
Summary of the invention The invention relates to a wheel lift 1 1a-d comprising a foot part 3, a lifting part 4, 5 and a wheel carrier 7, where the wheel carrier 7 is slidably arranged on a translation unit 6a, b fixed on the lifting part 4, 5. This is possible on an advantageous sail that a wheel on the wheel carrier can be pushed into position to be mounted on a vehicle. In this way, the wheel lifters 1, 1a-d also advantageously act as driveway ramps. The wheel lifts 1, 1a-d at the lift are designed as above.

The wheel lift 1 comprises a rectangular bar plate 2 which can be raised and lowered relative to a bottom plate 3. On the bottom plate there is a scissor lift 4 mounted which with hydraulic cylinders 5 forms a hoist and lower the bar plate 2. The main part of the top of the bar plate is flat and receive one of the wheels of a wheeled vehicle and act as an access ramp. With all four wheels of the vehicle on such wheel lifts, the vehicle can be lifted and lowered with a vehicle lift which is described in more detail in connection with Fig. 3.
Extending along one long side of the bar plate is a pair of longitudinal sliding rods 6a, b and on these a wheel rotator 7 is arranged. The wheel rotator is intended to receive a loose wheel which is thus close to a corresponding wheel fixed to the vehicle to be replaced. When the vehicle is lifted to the desired height with the vehicle lift, which is not shown in the figure, the loose wheel can then be lifted up to the same height as the wheel attached to the vehicle to be replaced.
With the longitudinal sliding rods 6a, b, the wheel rotator can be pushed forward or back along the longitudinal extent of the car. The longitudinal sliding rods 6a, b are in turn slidably mounted in their ram spirals with transverse sliding bearings 16a, b which make it possible to push the wheel rotator in transverse direction 2, which is normally the right / left direction of the vehicle. The transverse sliding bearings 16a, b grip transverse sliding rods 17 which run along the trailing edge and leading edge of the bar plate. Of these, only that which faces the viewer is illustrated in the figure.
With the scissor lift, it is possible to raise the bar plate so that the empty wheel rotator is at exactly the height of the wheel mounted on the vehicle to be removed. Or. Since the wheel rotator is slidably mounted on the longitudinal sliding rods 6a, b, the wheel rotator can then be pushed forward or back along the side of the vehicle, so that the wheel rotator is immediately adjacent to the wheel of the vehicle. With the transverse sliding rods, the wheel can be slid in the right / left direction of the vehicle. You can then move the wheel from the axle to the wheel rotator. The wheel rotator can then be collected with the scissor lift so that this lifting step does not need to be performed manually.
The new wheel to be mounted on the vehicle is rolled or lifted a short distance up on the wheel rotator and raised with the scissor lift so that all the new wheel ends up at exactly the same height as the axle the wheel is to be mounted on. The wheel rotor with the new wheel is displaced along the side of the vehicle with the help of the slide rods, so that all the new wheel is immediately in the middle of the axle of the vehicle on which the wheel is to be mounted. The wheel is then rotated about its center axis so that all of the wheel's bolt dimensions correspond to the bolt tail of the vehicle. This is described in stone detail in connection with Fig. 2. Fig. 2 shows the rotator 7 of the wheel lift in stone detail. The rotator has a rectangular bottom 8 where the long sides of the bottom extend in the longitudinal direction of the wheel lift and thus the vehicle. From the long sides 8 of the bottom, the side pieces 9a, b extend upwards. The side pieces have semicircular recesses on their middle portions which are intended to make it easier to receive a wheel on the rotator without siding in the side pieces if the wheel is lifted in from the side. The side pieces are also obliquely cut in ram spirits of the same shell. Between the highest parts of the side pieces, a pair of rollers 10a, b, on which the wheel is placed, stack. The rollers make it possible to rotate the wheel about the center axis of the wheel to select a rotation position when the bolt tail on the wheel corresponds to those on the axle of the vehicle !.
Under the underside of the bottom 8 there are four grippers I la-c arranged which receive the longitudinal sliding rods 6a. b. The grippers are shaped like steering block-shaped blocks with a continuous slide that protrudes in the longitudinal direction of the rotator. The tails are parallel to each other and extend so that the balls in pairs are partially open in the direction of each other and have an opening which is directed downwards. However, the openings are not so wide that the sliding rods can fall out, but the rotators must be pushed onto the sliding rods from its spirits.
Fig. 3 shows a vehicle lift 12a, b with four wheel lifts 1a-d according to the invention. The vehicle lift 12a, b comprises a left-hand 12a and a right-hand half 12b which together lift the vehicle so that the vehicle's wheels lift from the wheel lifters 1a-d. The ram halves of the vehicle lift are rectangular and arranged with the long sides parallel to each other. Immediately in front of and behind each vehicle lifting half, wheel lifts are arranged, which function as driveway ramps. When the vehicle is shortened on the lift, the vehicle stands with the wheels on the wheel lifters and the vehicle can then be lifted with the vehicle lift so that the vehicle's wheels lift off the wheel lifters.
Each wheel lift 1a-d is provided with a rotator 7, 7a-d and on this rotator are placed wheels which are to be lifted up or down, pushed forwards or backwards or rotated about their respective central axes as described in connection with Figs. 1 and 2. The wheel lifts is driven by a hydraulic motor 13 but is controlled individually with foot pedals 18 illustrated in Fig. 1 and the vehicle lift 12a-b is controlled by a hydraulic motor 14. In the described embodiment the rotators are mounted on a pair of sliding rods mounted on the rectangular support plate 2 which can be receive one of the wheels on the vehicle, but alternatively the slide rods can sit on a scissor lift that lacks a bar plate. The wheel lifts will then not be lowered longer as access ramps, but will in turn be simpler and only need to lift one wheel weight. In the described embodiment, the rotators are slidably mounted on sliding rods and the rollers 10a, b are slidably mounted. Obviously, either or both layers can be stored on other salt. In another variant of the invention, the wheel lift is mounted on wheels so that it can be rolled around and in this way it is possible to manage with more than four wheel lifts as described above.
